Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program includes preparation for our students to enter the Commercial Beauty Salon Industry.  The Cosmetology program includes 1,600 Hours of in school training comprised of Theory Study & time taking clients in the student salon. The Cosmetology Program is 60 Weeks for full time students, and part time schedules are available to students who qualify.

Students will learn and practice the basic fundamentals of

  • Hair Cutting & Hair Styling
  • Artificial Nails, Manicures, & Pedicures.
  • Skin Care, Make up, & Eyelash Extension
  • All Chemical Hair services such as Coloring and Permanent Waving

The Barber Program is 34 Weeks for full time students, and part time schedules are available to students who qualify.

Our 400 Hour Nail Technology Course offers an expedited 12-week program. The 400 Hour Nail technology program is designed for students who want a fast introduction to nails. The program fulfills all minimum requirements for the State of Idaho Licensing requirements.

Our 600 Hour Nail Technology Course is designed to help students who need a little more time in the student salon with instructor guidance. The 600 Hour Nail Technology Course takes roughly 20 weeks to complete and part-time schedules are available to students who qualify. Our 600 Hour Nail Technology Course does qualify for financial aid, to the students who qualify.

The Esthetics program includes preparation for our students to enter the Commercial Salon Industry. The Esthetics Program is 20 Weeks for full time students, and part time schedules are available to students who qualify.

Student Instructor

The Cosmetology School of Arts & Sciences is excited to offer 2 different Student Instructor programs to suit the needs of each individual student.

Both of our programs include preparation for our students to enter the Education Side of the Salon Industry. Students will be taught the basic fundamentals of Adult Education in a salon environment, such as:

  • Running a Student Salon
  • Exam Preparation
  • Clinic Floor Supervision
  • Audio & Visual Aid Presentation

  • Our Student Instructors are provided with a Milady Master Educator Textbook & Testing Booklet for their personal Theory & study needs to become a Master Educator.

Our 500 Hour Student Instructor Course is for Licensed Professionals who have at least a minimum of 2 years of experience in a registered establishment as a licensed Cosmetologist, Barber, Nail Technologist, or Esthetician. The 500 Hour Student Instructor program is 15 Weeks.

Our 1,000 Hour Student Instructor Course is for any Licensed Professional who has less than 2 years of experience in a registered salon establishment. The 1,000 Hour Student Instructor program is 37 Weeks for full time students, and part time schedules are available to students who qualify.
